“I am truly sorry Sebastian. This was my fault. I ordered the demons to revolt so I could have Ashton. It is true I do not deserve him, but I do love him.”

Christian said as Sebastian was not sure what to say. So, he simply punched Christian in the face and grabbed Calis out of his arms. Sebastian would deal with Christian later.

After adjusting his jaw, Christian got into the fray slaying demon after demon killing his own kind now becoming a pariah to them just as Sebastian was. He did not know if he would always be alone, but what he did know was that he loved Ashton and he would spend the rest of his life hoping for a chance to be with his true love again.

Sebastian took Calis far from the fight to their home knowing that Kingsly and William would take good care of Ashton for them. He needed to get Calis healed somehow.

Suddenly, a light came into the room from the fireplace and settled on Calis. The light sunk into the boy and glowed as Calis’ swollen eye healed, his cut lip and cut cheeks were also healed. Then those wings were once again whole. The bruises and cuts on his legs healed and even his clothing was fixed from the tears and rips in it.

“Mmmm…. Mum? Dad?”

Calis muttered out as the light disappeared and went back up through the fireplace to wherever it came from. Sebastian knew what that was now. It was only a thing an Angel could do.

“Calis my love, I am here.”

Sebastian said and Calis sat up then slapped Sebastian.

“What took you so damn long?!”

Calis snarled out.

“You passed out which kind of left me having to guess where you were. I came as quickly as I could.”

Sebastian said rubbing his cheek a bit.

“I swear sometimes you have so many excuses it makes me sick. Did you find Christian?”

Calis asked since he would be furious with Sebastian if Christian got away.

“Christian is an Angel now. He helped save you.”

Sebastian said and Calis slapped him again.

“You allowed that thing to touch me! Where were you?!”

Calis fumed since he couldn’t believe Sebastian’s incompetence.

“I was fighting demons to get to you. Now quit slapping me. Obviously, demons will not be invited to another reaper ball and as for now you are safe. I don’t know what the hell we are going to do for security since we have only half the demons now and they are all Angels so who knows how long they are going to be allowed to remain.’

“However, Ashton is safe and with Kingsly right now. Everything is as it should be except I am getting tired of saving you from people all the time. Next time you are coming with me if I must go look for someone. I swear I cannot leave you alone for a second.”

Sebastian said in frustration. Calis seemed to be a target for kidnappers. Sebastian was really sick of saving Calis all the time.

There was a knock on the door and Sebastian got up to answer it.
